Their Personality 

The miniature pinscher has a lot of energy so you should have room for them to play. You also need to make sure you exercise your dog regularly to help them release some of their energy. This will result in a much happier dog. You should also purchase a wide range of toys for your puppy. There are toys that will keep them busy for long periods of time. One type of toy lets you insert a snack, and the puppy has to work to get the snack out. 

If you have other animals a miniature pinscher generally will get along well with them. Just make sure you have pets that do not mind a lot of energy around them. If you walk them to help with their energy never let them off the leash because they would likely run away from you.  If you are gone for long periods of time during the day your dog will not be happy. Always keep them confined to a certain area, such as a dog gate or a large crate, or you may come home to a messy house. 

Caring for the Miniature Pinscher Puppy

Make sure your puppy goes to the veterinarian soon after you get them. The vet will put them on an immunization schedule and give them a good checkup. The vet can tell you the best food to purchase for your puppy, how much food to give them, and how often to feed them.  This is important as nutritious food will help your puppy have a healthy coat and to be overall healthy. 

As far as their coat you can wipe it down with a wet, warm cloth weekly to remove loose hair and dirt. If your puppy gets very dirty, bathe it in warm water and use a mild puppy shampoo. Their nails should be kept trim. If you are not experienced in trimming a dog's nails, you can cause injury. Instead, take them to a professional groomer to do this for you.
